Initially funded through Susan G. Komen community grants in 2018, TSU BCSPC successfully change to provided its first Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) grant in 2021. With the $1M CPRIT funding, TSU BCSPC successfully delivered no-cost mammograms to over 1,400 women, reached over 4,500 women through education, and 4500 received navigation services.
In June 2025, TSU BCSPC received its second $2M award through CPRIT (see funding announcement here: https://cprit.texas.gov/grants-funded/grants/pp250075) to offer the following services:
